About
Sacred art, jewellery and consulting
I work at the meeting point of the liturgical tradition and the hand: sacred vessels, reliquaries and devotional objects on one side, and the quieter discipline of bespoke jewellery on the other. Everything begins from the purpose an object will serve rather than from a style to be applied. [PLACEHOLDER — first-person statement, 600–900 words to follow.]
My training moved between the workshop and the library. Learning to chase, engrave and gild meant understanding metal as a material with memory; studying iconography meant learning why a vessel takes a particular form, and what the faithful read in it. [PLACEHOLDER — training and masters.]
I work slowly and by commission. Each object is preceded by conversation, research and drawing, and the client is involved at the moments that matter: the programme, the model, and the final delivery. [PLACEHOLDER — working method and beliefs.]
At present I divide my time between commissioned sacred work for parishes and religious communities, a small number of private jewellery commissions, and consulting on the artistic planning of liturgical spaces. [PLACEHOLDER — present activity.]
